At Spring Lynne, motorcycles are our lives.
We ride them, we race them, we collect them, we repair them.

​Established in 2008, we stock all makes and models of quality used motorbikes, side by sides and ATVs. We aim to bring you fair prices on your favourite motorcycles, Access quads and parts.

Our farm-based rural outlet is based in the heart of Canterbury. Drop your two or four wheeler in to our workshop between Methven and Ashburton for some expert service. Take a stroll down memory lane at our museum while you're here.

Not only are we passionate about motorcycles, but we are the same way inclined about providing good old-fashioned friendly and expert service.

About Us

TWO MCKAY FAMILIES
In 2008 friends John and Bruce McKay, along with Bruce's son Ricky, opened Spring Lynne Motorcycles – store, workshop and museum. 

Bruce operates the fully equipped, MTA assured workshop. He has a lifetime of experience with motorcycles and was a founding partner of Ashburton’s Yamaha dealership in 1977.

John brings his extensive business management experience. He owns the extraordinary collection of rare and classic Japanese motorcycles for the Spring Lynne Museum located in the original farmhouse on site. 
NEXT GENERATION
Ricky also manages the teams other venture – Timaru Yamaha which opened in 2011. Ricky has competed in motorcycling sports for most of his life and he brings a wealth of knowledge to the businesses from years of working in the motorcycle industry.

Spring Lynne, with views of Mount Hutt and the Canterbury Plains, is a converted 1920’s woolshed. It is located on State Highway 77 in between Methven and Ashburton. The name Spring Lynne is a culmination of the names of two nearby areas – Springfield & Lyndhurst.
